3A - Coronary Intervention Recovery Unit delivers care to inpatient, observation or outpatient extended stay adults who are recovering from coronary interventions or diagnostic catheterizations. Common cardiovascular diagnoses include, but are not limited to, cardiology patients with ICDs, trans aortic valvular replacements, pacemakers, pre and post PCI, EP study, and pre and post coronary ablations.
- IV therapy
- Vasoactive drug administration
- Anti-arrhythmic drug therapy
- Thrombolytic therapy
- Blood product administration
- Transthoracic/transvenous/permanent pacing
Non-invasive monitoring includes:
- Pulse oximetry
- Non-invasive blood pressure monitoring
- Management of venous and arterial sheath removal post PCI is also performed on CIRU
Specifically we are looking for travelers with cardiac experience and experience pulling sheaths and working with temporary pacemakers.
