Requirements:
- BCLS required, ACLS preferred
- PCA experience
- Unit: Acute Care Float Pool
- MUST HAVE EPIDURAL MED EXP
- 2+ years of experience in acute care setting
- Weekend shifts are on an ad hoc basis
- Open to accommodating block schedule: No (unless schedule posted says otherwise)
- Will this traveler need to float between like units: Yes
Additional Information:
- This is a 450 bed facility with 290 acute care beds-Medical-Surgical, BMT and Oncology, Cardiac Surg, Telemetry, Neuro, Rehab, Transplant, Short Stay and boarding units.
- Travelers will get orientation to 5 different units over 3 (12hr) shifts and will then float to all acute care units, rehab and boarding areas.
- Travelers on the Resource Team will float to the ED, PACU, ICU or other boarding areas to take care of patients that are boarding patients.
- Dayshift: potential to change units 3 times over 12hr.
- High acuity acute care with charge nurse not in staffing ratios (boarding charge in staffing ratios)
- Teaching facility experience highly preferred
- Experience titrating insulin and Heparin drips, Highly preferred
- Experience with PCA's, and managing Epidural Medications such as Ketamine
- Skills checklist and references must be completed within the past 6 months by a direct supervisor (not a charge RN)
- License Compact License or WA single state is acceptable
- Locals are accepted and no difference in Bill Rate
- Candidates will float within hospital
- EPIC experience is a huge plus but not required
- Background Policy: Please disclose any BG hits, DUIs, etc at time of submission for facility consideration
- Prior UW staff must be separated from the facility for 18 months before returning as a traveler
- Modules are not billable and must be completed prior to start of assignment
- Two References Required upon submittal
- RNs have two orientations per month, Allied can start any Monday
- Proof of vaccination is required with submittal.
