Registered Nurse – Progressive Care - Travel - (PCU RN)
StartDate: 12/18/2023 Available Shifts: 12 N Pay Rate: $2253.00 - $2483.00
Serving as a destination medical center in the mid-atlantic region, Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is one of just five Level 1 trauma centers in Virginia, home to the Nightingale Regional Air Ambulance, region’s first Magnet® hospital and nationally ranked heart program at Sentara Heart Hospital. Sentara Norfolk General Hospital (SNGH), on the Eastern Virginia Medical Campus, is a large 525-bed medical center, which serves as the primary teaching institution for the adjacent Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS). Our unit needs someone comfortable caring for patients needing ICU level of care (not vented) but one 1-2 drips to maintain BP. We recover patients from the main OR for the vascular surgeons – cases like EVARs, TEVARs, carotid endartectomy, fem-pop bypass, neuro pipelines (neuro interventional procedures) requiring frequent neuro/neurovascular checks. We have a 50/50 inpatient/outpatient patient mix
Required Qualifications
BLS, ACLS
Must have 2 yrs experience
Inpatient post cardiac procedure observation unit. Primary responsibilities include care for post cardiac procedural patients requiring overnight monitoring. Night shift with weekend rotation required.
