Start date: Immediate
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days 12
Emergency Room nurses must be able to quickly assess patient condition upon arrival to the ED. ER nurses must possess a wide array of life-saving skills and be able to stabilize patients experiencing trauma. ER nurses administer IVs, medications and injections, start intravenous lines, perform CPR, intubate, set fractures, suture wounds and perform diagnostic tests. They must also be able to explain treatment plans to patients and family. The Emergency Room RN must be familiar with hospital policy as well as any state or local regulations on treating, transferring and discharging patients.

- Emergency Room RN positions require one to two years of recent experience in a hospital setting
- Degree from an accredited Registered Nursing program
- Have, or be able to obtain, RN license in the state of practice
- Valid BLS (ACLS and PALS certification required for some positions)
- Specialty certifications are preferred and may be required for specific ER travel nurse positions
- Proof of right to work in the United States
