Start date: Immediate
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days 10
Operating Room (Perioperative) RNs assist in the OR and monitor the patient's vital signs during surgery. A Scrub Nurse must be able to prepare the operating room for surgery, set up instruments, and make sure the field is sterile. A Circulating Nurse may inspect surgical equipment, work with the Anesthesiologist and check medical paperwork. The RN First Assistant must be able to perform CPR, control bleeding and suture wounds. Operative Room travel nurses also assess patients before surgery, coordinate surgical care, and evaluate patients prior to discharge.

- Operating Room nurse positions require one to two years of recent experience in a hospital setting
- Degree from an accredited Registered Nursing program
- Have, or be able to acquire, RN license in the state of practice
- Valid BLS (ACLS and PALS certification required for some positions)
- Specialty certifications are preferred and may be required for specific OR travel nurse positions
- Proof of right to work in the United States
