Start date: Immediate
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Rotating 10
Post Anesthesia Care Unit nurses are an integral part of the post-operative care unit. PACU travel nurses care for post-operative patients and must demonstrate advanced knowledge of anesthesiology. The PACU nurse is responsible for waking and monitoring patients in post-op. PACU RNs must have the ability to assess incision sites, monitor body temperature, and evaluate other indicators of stability or complications.

- PACU positions require one to two years of experience in a hospital setting
- Degree from an accredited Registered Nursing program
- Have, or be able to obtain, an RN license in the state of practice
- Valid BLS (ACLS and PALS certification may be required for some positions)
- Specialty certifications are preferred and may be required for specific travel nurse positions
- Proof of right to work in the United States
