Travel Nurse RN - PACU/Pre-Post Op - $2,197 to $2,421 per week in Madison, WI - Job Description & Requirements Registered Nurse – Post-Anesthesia Care Unit - PACU - Travel - (PACU RN) StartDate: 4/22/2024 Available Shifts: 12 D/E Pay Rate: $2197.00 - $2421.00 This expanding 23 bay unit provides immediate post-surgical care for patients who undergo surgery or other procedures requiring sedation/anesthesia. Nurses are responsible for assessing, diagnosing, intervening, evaluating, coordinating, and facilitating the concentrated care necessary in the immediate post anesthetic period for a multi-varied surgical patient population. Each patient receives continuous monitoring and observation as they emerge from the effects of sedation/anesthesia. For our critical care patient population this may include hemodynamic monitoring and/or titration of medications. Airway management and pain and comfort management are also a priority. Clinicians work closely with their surgical, anesthesia, and Pain Service colleagues to identify the most appropriate plan of care for the patient. Nurse to patient staffing ratio is most often one-to-one or one-to-two (and never exceeds one-to-three) providing the utmost in individual attention to each patient. Required Qualifications Years of Experience: 2. 1. Current WI RN license (#/expiration) 2. Academic Level 1 - Trauma Center experience 3. ACLS, BLS 4. Travel Nurse RN - PCU - $2,091 to $2,305 per week in Madison, WI - Job Description & Requirements Registered Nurse – Progressive Care - Travel - (PCU RN) StartDate: 4/8/2024 Available Shifts: 12 E/N Pay Rate: $2091.00 - $2305.00 Acute Medical and Progressive Care Unit is comprised of 21 medical beds with acutely ill patients who have a variety of co morbidities that impact their primary diagnosis, medical, and nursing plan of care. Some patients suffer from multisystem disease processes that require specialized nursing care with the potential for more intensive monitoring and care when unforeseen complications arise. The unit also specializes in care of patients with Cystic Fibrosis. Progressive Care is an 8 bed unit for patients with fragile hemodynamic stability and requires an increased level of nursing care and surveillance which prevents them from transitioning to a medical unit. Some patients transition from a critical care unit directly to Progressive Care to promote continuity by allowing specialized monitoring, treatments, and nursing care to continue without jeopardizing quality and outcomes. Nurses embrace the Primary Nurse Model of Care and are all knowledgeable and competent in providing care to both Acute Medical/Progressive Care patients. In addition to being proficient in noninvasive and invasive cardiac monitoring and certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, nurses pursue specialty certification in Medical-Surgical and Progressive Care Nursing. Required Qualifications 2+ years of experience 1. Current WI or comapct RN license (#/expiration) 2. One successful assignment as travel RN (13 weeks) 3. Experience in an Academic Level 1 - Trauma center 4. Surgical post op care experience 5.
