Travel Nurse RN - LTAC - $3,500 to $3,600 per week in Saint Marys, GA - * Maintains Public Health reporting system to insure reporting of communicable diseases * Monitors and reports communicable diseases to appropriate agency * Epidemiologist or special focused education in advanced Epidemiology * Works closely with the Department of Public Health and other governmental agencies with regard to public health issues as they pertain to the health care setting including reporting activities of mandated Reportable Diseases/Conditions with the Department of Public Health * Maintains documentation to Infection Prevention programs, nosocomial infections and reportable diseases * Investigates all cases of employee exposures to communicable diseases and blood and/or body fluids * Tracks and reports work related infectious diseases to Chair Therapeutics Committee * Certification by Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology (CBIC) within one (1) year of employment * Performing hospital audits and providing educational opportunities to enhance the understanding of HAI reporting requirements * Monitoring trends in HAI rates at hospitals

Travel Nurse RN - LTAC in Warm Springs, GA - We are seeking SIX experienced RNs to join our team as an LTAC MedSurg Nurse. As an RN in this role, you will be responsible for assessing patients, developing care plans, monitoring and ensuring quality patient care, providing nursing care in cooperation with physicians, instructing patients and family members, and maintaining knowledge of current trends in the profession. 13 week-assignment/ ASAP START JOB RESPONSIBILITIES             Assesses patients through history, physical exam 1.Performs a physical/psychosocial assessment on assigned patients.  Accurately recognizes patient problems and/or complications utilizing effective assessment skills.  (This is performed on admission and updated each shift.)  Completes dietary and functional screening within 24 hours of admission.  Notifies dietitian of consult if needed.  Reports findings to necessary support staff. 2.Gathers and incorporates all information necessary from all available sources to properly evaluate patient. 3.Always documents initial assessments on the patient admission profile and subsequent assessments in the progress notes in the CPSI System.  Documents in a clear, complete and concise manner utilizing the electronic record (CPSI). 4.Following hospital policy and procedures, consistently completes a nursing assessment upon patient admission to serve as a guide for the nursing care plan (within 8 hours). 5.Participates in discharge planning from time of admission to plan for patient needs.
