What do Radiology Nurses Do?<\/h2>\n

Radiology is a specialty that requires education and experience beyond just a degree in nursing. Since nurses are part of a medical team, they know how to use radiologic medical technology to assess, diagnose and treat patients. Radiation therapy focuses on treating cancer patients and is essentially part of oncology medicine. In radiation therapy, nurses are performing examines and procedures alongside a radiologist. This detail-oriented focus is an intense therapy used to treat cancer. It is done a variety of ways from external-beam radiation therapy to internal radiation therapy.<\/p>\n
