I work day shift in a clinic. Clinic is busy from open to close. Very good learning environment. Highly recomend working here.
Productive, skill building
Love working hospital setting. I work post surgical unit. Improve on skills daily with the different surgeries performed daily. Place IV's daily, lab draws, EKGs, med pass, daily assessments, IV fluid maintenance and antibiotic administration. Use of lift systems, patient education, transferring of patients. Admit and d/c patients
I enjoy working with patients daily and also can work independently
It was not unusual to have around 60 to 100 patients per day, we were extremely busy, and of course this forces you to be very organized. I always try to inject humor into everything so as make an enjoyable work environment, I miss my co-workers very much. For me,the hardest part of the job was the unstable economy, and the furloughs, unfortunately many good people left the hospital to work in the private sector, and eventually I had to leave as well. The most enjoyable part of my job was not just one thing but many, the atmosphere, my co-workers, the positive learning environment, and of course the patients!! There is always a new and interesting patient right around the corner.
I completed 300+ hours required for training in the field of Medical Histology. Histology being the study of the cells in tissue, I operated as an histo tech including: Collecting Specimens, Accessioning and Processing tissue on tissue processor, Embedding and Cutting as well as preparing slides and administering test on patients specimens.
Choose to request days off/scheduling
I currently work here as a LPN through the Army. A typical day starts off with morning huddle, report from off going nurse, physical assessments, documentation, medication administration, and treatments ect. Learned many different skills from experienced nurses.
I have been here for 9 years and government service continues to change, I need to find a job where I will not lose 20 % of my pay simply because I work for the government.
RN Family Medicine Clinic

fun place to work
best place to work because I love taking care of my patients and seeing them healthy. hardest part of the job would be seeing my patients sick.
A variety of positions offered one of the best experiences in my vocational history.
Patient care is a pretty constant and demanding job to have but the many positions available make the experience rewarding. I recovered patients from surgery, educated family on health matters, entertained children both the sick and those visiting sick family members. My experience managing over 70 staff made for long days and difficult challenges that allowed me to learn how important communication and patience is.
