September 18, 2014 Helping bring hope into lives...My typical day at work begins with administrative work and cold calling to targeted industries. I then enter the outreach field where I make drop-in visits and create a resonating first impression. I meet a variety of people within a broad range of demographics. My key role is to bring awareness, create referrals and generate relationships with companies, groups, associations, offices, and people.I enjoy working in an industry that helps people, families and loved ones who are struggling with addiction. The humbling reward of thanks, gratitude and transformation is truly inspirational! Not only do I enjoy my role, I enjoy working with colleagues who are also passionate about their jobs, which shows every day!The most challenging part of my job is seeing the patients and family members who enter our program with feelings of despair, defeat and fear. But in return, I witness transformations, accomplishments and shining souls when they leave!I have worked with many levels of management in corporations, so I understand the need to make adjustments, however, I don't believe all changes are good changes, especially when the end result is the loss of valuable employees/co-workers. Having held managerial positions in the past, I relate to both sides of the chain of command and would love to see this type of leadership cease. Every corporation is a team with team players. You can only be as successful as the team you are willing to build for success! |
