I appreciated being able to work in that environment for so many years, making progress, helping people.

A typical day is very busy, juggling meetings, questions from employees, coworkers, billing department, admissions, medical staff, managers, etc.; I have learned how to get along with many different people with different personalities and make it work; I enjoyed managing my department, teaching and watching new employees learn new things, keeping the department flowing despite outside issues ; co-workers are easy to work with for the most part, when things become difficult - as long as there is open communication - things usually work out to each one's benefit; hardest part - dealing with providers that make it difficult to attain your goals e.g chart completion, dictations, etc., communication with upper management; most enjoyable - reaching goals, putting in hard work and seeing positive results, working together towards a common goal and accomplishing that goal e.g grants, community project, health fair, etc
