Close proximity to home, nice clients, staff very considerate.

I work on the IV/PICC/phlebotomy team and would like a similar job in Missoula, MT. My husband and I bought a home in Bonner/Potomac and would like to relocate there as soon as possible. I work 3-11 shift alone and cover a 600 bed level 1 trauma center in Western NY via beeper. I draw labs, start IVs, and place PICC lines 8 hours a day x 3-4 days/week. Chart on Meditech

Great people, Low Morale

ECMC is a great place to work in that the compensation and benefits are top notch. Many coworkers have a team approach to completing tasks and lateral violence is minimal where I work. However there is significant turn over and decrease in employee satisfaction especially in Behavioral Health. Safety is a huge issue and staff do not feel full measures are being taken to prevent patient on staff violence. Patients are coming n increasingly more dangerous and decompensated. They are under medicated and the progressive techniques staff are supposed to use arent especially effective. It is difficult to get upper management to really address this.
