Nursing at Harbor Hospital

This hospital is associated with the biggest healthcare system in MD but it still has the family friendly atmosphere. Many dedicated employees make up the work force.Everyone I knew was friendly and helpful when I was an employee. The nurses are A+. They make sure no other employee gets behind in the shift. They are the best nurses I ever worked with. The patients get top notch care. The managers are approachable and really listen when a issue may come up. It is a teaching hospital and I learned many new skills while there.Always have doctors available immediately for any needs that may arise. They usually are on the unit all the time. The equiptment for nursing to give medicines was very slow and would stop working altogether at times! I think this has since been corrected. Many times a secretary was not available for night shift. But the staff is so team oriented that the extra work not having a secretary brings is not an issue.
