March 18, 2015 Great opportunity to manage and develop clinical programsThis was a great opportunity to develop clinical programs and work with all areas of a hospital. I contributed to the growth of the pharmacy department and it's contribution to the health and clinical outcomes of patients. My manager was great and very supportive. Each day was different and challenging. I helped to develop a much better understanding of other departments and helped in everyone working together instead of only looking at their own needs. |
December 30, 2012 Work with well trained and dedicated nursing staffWorking in a 12 hour shift with well trained and dedicated staff. Provide high quaulity nursing care. Good work balance and private life. |
December 13, 2012 Needs new management that listens to the staffHave a great staff to work with. The management seems more worried about moving patients thru the system then the quality of care. All they worry about is scores, not that you just saved a life or that a dying person was alone and you stayed at their bedside. They have taking the caring out of nursing and I don't see that getting any better. |
November 16, 2012 Great place to work with excellent Benefits, but stay on your toes!San Jac was a nice place to work. Its a nice medium sized hospital with a welcoming feel. Benefits are awesome with 403b, Designated Contribution fund, PTO with sell back, Bonuses, and employee recognition that comes pretty regularly. However, you have to stay on your toes. As with any employment situation there are those that look for reasons to get others in trouble and administration will not stand behind you. |
May 18, 2012 Caring co workersFast paced everyday. Can be stressful at time. Caring co workers. The hardest part is coping with death. The most enjoyable is watching patients as they get well day by day. |
