Very productive place to work

Lovely place to work. Great benefits, great co-workers, excellent management. We are now a Magnet Hospital with great pay rates and a safe environment.

Productive and fun workplace were everyone is family

A typical day at work for me would be a day on skates, I do pre-op and post-op cardiology procedures. My manager is the most fair and understanding person for her job. My co-workers and I join together as a family and the team that we are and we get the job done. The hardest part of my job is keeping up with the quick overturn of patients and managing patients that are coming in for pre-op. The most enjoyable part of my job is telling patients that their heart is good and educating them on other chronic diseases that they may have.

excellent patient care

The patient care provided at OLOL is great. However, for employees, the pay and benefits are less than desirable.

A TYPICAL DAY AT WORK WOULD BE, YOU STARTED WORKING IMMEDIATELY AND KEPT GOING. INTERACTION WITH CO-WORKERS WAS POSITIVE,EXCELLENT TEAMWORK, EACH NURSE HAD THIER OWN EMERGENCY ROOM TECHNICIAN. LEFT WORK EACH DAY AND FELT LIKE YOU REALLY ACCOMPLISHED SOMETHING!

A good Catholic hospital.

A typical day consisted of being extremely busy the whole time just trying to keep up with patient care. I learned that a leader must be willing to serve. Management: hard to tell if there was any. Co-workers: We were all there together trying to get the massive amount of work done within the allotted time; not taking lunch breaks and barely ever getting to go to the restroom. Hardest part of the job: going back up there the next shift, knowing how it was. The most enjoyable part of the job: co-workers were fun to be around.

Mission driven organization with high focus on patient satisfaction and safety.

A typcal day included visiting patients and families, meeting with staff, coodinating staffing needs, and managing overall unit operations. The most valuable assets were the staff members and keeping them happy, positive, and seeing their growth and dedication was very rewarding. I enjoyed supportive, cohesive relationships with co-workers. The hardest part of the job was trying to manage high census, high acuity with staff and budget cuts. The most enjoyable part of the job was the patient and staff interactions; and the success of delivering excellent, safe patient cre.

Worked as a nurse for 6+ years

A bunch of fake people, preach Christianity but doesn't practice it. I found it to be very prejudiced against non black employees. The pay is poor compared to other facilities in the area. I only stayed so long because it was more comfortable to put up with the bull rather than look for something new, but I am so glad to be away from it all.

Work environment Okay

I do not want to comment on my work environment. I am looking for a job with better shift hours.
