Wide in Scope

A day is busy with you being surprised by something new, usually someone did it or said it . ARH offers a dense amount of talented indiviuals who like what they do, which spills over on everyone coming through our doors. It feels close as an employee and management too, is a part of a good day.A company where you feel like you can have a long standing career position and be openly precocious in your job.

Your friends are your family

ICU: I loved the staff I worked with, 3-12 hour shifts with 1 on-call/2 weeks was fantastic (ALWAYS availability for overtime). Unit supervisor/charge nurse was great working schedules to accommodate needs. Worst part was the occasional float to the step-down unit

Regional hospital.

This review is very important to read, and i am being very honest, i have no reason not to be honest. But i almost died in this hospital me and my son, who now permanently has a warped shaped head even after two years of being delivered. I was giving birth to my fifth child, two years ago, i have never in my life had a worse birthing experience or hospital experience in general. The reason why medical is so poor in anchorage, is because nurses are allowed to have jobs they shouldn't without getting their degree. This is not for all nurses, ive met some amazing ones, but not here. The medical negligence is scary!! What happened the night i gave birth should have never happened, none of the nurses would listen to me, and the Dr was drunk!! come to find out, im not the only one who was purposely forced early in pregnacy to go in for a rush induction, and the doctor laughing while drunk, about him doing it, because he knew things would get complicated and he was wanting me to have to have a C section, cause its more money in his pocket! He said this while all the nurses laughed. I screamed and screamed in pain, as my cervix would not dilate, and the babys head was stuck in my cervix, as i almost tore my entire cervix, it was the worst pain in my life, and i asked the nurses when time was right for an epidural, and they said no, and yet were laughing and they set up and epidural that only numbed my stomach, as the nurse was talking about getting ready for a c section, and there was no need for a c section at all, i was forced into premature labor with no reason or cause and me and my son almost died, just so a Dr could get more money, by getting a C section out of it. He was very upset when i didnt end up needing a C section, and he was barely there for the delivery, a nurse who hadnt even completed school was so rude to me the entire time while i dealt with so much pain, not only was it natural birth, but my body was forced by induction medications early for no reason, and i was forced to push a baby out of my cervix that wasnt ready, and was about to tear apart.. because i was forced into early delivery. Ever since then my son has had issues with growth, and he has a severe lop sided head that causes issues for him to even walk and its been two years, i also lost sight in my right eye from going through that much pain and my blood pressure being insanely high from all of it, they never gave me any medication for my blood pressure, and the entire time i was going through all of this, in labor for three days.. the nurses acted like they knew nothing about birth or delivery, im not even being rude, this is literally what happened and this is my fifth child, so i know a little about birthing and the experience at the hospital... The care i received just got worse and worse at our stay there, i wanted to talk to a hospital director and explain everything that had happened to me and the nurses refused to get ahold of them for me, and i felt like i was in a nightmare!! several women under his care that night were screaming in horrible pain... Pain not normal.. one almost died. When i got home i tried to call the director several times, and the operator kept disconnecting my calls..I had talked to a social worker at my other sons pediatric appointment, and explained everything that had taken place, and she found it very weird, cause several other people had came to her, and explained the same situation, dealing with the same O.B. doctor, and they also had nightmare stories, of him forcing women into labor early, to cause complications so he could get more money from them having C sections. I was treated like an animal in this hospital, and this was not the only time, i have a few other experiences too, so someone needs to look into who the heck they are allowing to work at this and their credentials, that or someone needs to go in and observe/monitor what exactly is taking place.. I had already talked to My ex O.B's boss at the clinic about all of this, i reported him, and no one seemed to want to listen or care, and all she said was" well hes been working too many hours".... After two years of being depressed over all of this and scared to step foot in any medical facility in anchorage, i will have my voice heard, this is wrong.. and the fact that its happening to other girls, and just continuing is ridiculous, i will get proof of everything, and i will press charges on everyone involved, and anyone who does not do anything about the report i make and they see proof of it, and proof that these types of things are happening in their hospital, i will report them as well. I am going to the board with all of this. I hope things like this can be prevented in the future, the fact that me and my son almost lost our lives due to negligence of someone "a DR" wanting more money.... like he dosnt already get paid enough..... Should never take place.. Not everyone is bad in the medical field, but if your there for just money, try to reconsider things.. You never know how you can affect someones life.
