I loved my job. However there were many problems with management which affected employee morale and motivation. However I really did like co workers.

I really learned a lot about healthcare management at PHS. My co-workers who were seasoned in this area were very willing to share their knowledge with me. I learned credentialing of physicians and tracking follow up. Everyday I learned something new. What I did not like in my job was the favoritism of management and the politics.

Most of the time the work got done in the mornings, leaving excessive idle time in the afternoons.

Most of the wound care got done in the morning hours, with the hyperbaric therapy continuing on through the afternoon. I liked the fact that once we performed what we had to do, then the patients were good for another week. I have always learned new techniques to doing wound care, depending on the physician. I had only 5 other staff working with me, and all were, well trained and a good working team. I also enjoyed most of the physicians that I worked with.
