March 31, 2013 by Anonymous Hawaii Medical Center East Typical day at Hawaii Medical Center East was 10-12 hours long. I worked both on the skilled long term facility and the ICU. I had to attend rounds on both and deal with families on both floors which was difficult. I often felt that I was not fulfilling the needs of the families and the staff on the ICU floor because the skilled nursing floor had a lot more needs and patients. I struggled with balancing the two floors. Pressure from administration was intense as the company was trying to stay afloat. I left a month prior to their closing.
