April 10, 2012 The worst job I have ever had!!Very bad, hostile, and unfriendly work environment. Nurse managers on 4 Hob are horrible, dishonest, two faced, and liars. They say they are christians, but their actions prove otherwise. This is the worst company I have ever worked for!!! |
March 20, 2012 awesome place to work, no turn overs. People on waiting list to work there.Great place to work. Great doctors. Teaching hospital so you really learn alot. Cutting edge research and technology. I would still be there if my father had not been ill. Loved it |

June 23, 2021 Dangerous CVICUThe CVICU was the most dangerous floor I have ever worked on in 6 years of nursing. Starting with the 5 hours of “orientation”, where my group of travelers had sprung on them when we were told that it was only a day for online charting modules. Half of the travelers in my group had never been exposed to Swan catheters and basic CVICU patient care, and were not provided in person, online, or written material to review this information. When management was asked to provide more orientation time, it was not granted. This was not a crisis fill position. Their core staff is made of primarily new graduate nurses who are not trained adequately to take care of these sick patients. They are forced to take paired patients on CRRT and ECMO without being certified in these devices. Travelers are told they do not take devices, but are frequently paired with patients on CRRT, also despite them not having certifications. The management fails to enforce TJC standards of care and charting, and many a time I received report from nurses acting outside of their scope, and managing drips with outdated and incorrect orders. The providers here were also very poor- knowledge wise and professional interactions. Nurses were frequently berated and the hostility between the disciplines caused fear in most of the core staff. I would never recommend anyone to work here, no matter the pay. |
