productive and innovative workplace

HFWB has created a culture where new ideas are welcome and explored to provide a safe and comforting environment for both employees and clients. I was able to work weekends only to be able to further my education during the week. Many different schedules for nurses and techs are available.

Registered Nurse

As a nurse of almost two years, I have had the benefit of working both inpatient and in the community as a home care nurse (which my manager is letting me look for other positions in the Henry Ford network before my 12 months is up); both experiences helping me gain clinical nursing skills and social skills in how to work with different cohorts of patients. While I haven't been employed in an ambulatory center; I've interned in several during graduate school while receiving my MSW. As both a licensed social worker and a nurse with almost two years of experience in Neurology and Home Health Care, both with Henry Ford Health System, I have not only the nursing skills necessary to provide stellar care to my patients, but I also have the empathy and listening skills to provide safe care in a nurturing and caring manner. My inpatient experience provided me with clinical management experience and discharge planning; and my clinical management and discharge planning skills were solidified as a home health care nurse, where I act as the patient's case manager. As a home health care nurse for the East Office of HFHHC, most of my patients reside in city of Detroit. I am certified in Gerontology through my MSW degree, which has been extremely helpful when working with my older adult patients thus far in my nursing career. Additionally, my field placement during my MSW program was in an elementary school in Lansing for one year, in which I was able to gain vital experience in working with my children and their families. I feel that my skills would make me an extremely positive asset to your unit.
