Wearing many hats
It is a very busy job consisting of many different tasks. I have so much interaction with the public which keeps my customer service skills sharp. I have been blessed to have nurses above me that have allowed me to experience so many different sides of being a nurse. As a nursing assistant, I would have to say that I have a very good job. There is minimal full patient care and just a lot of vital signs and clarical work. Management has changed a lot recently and some of the most important aspects of working in mental health have been lost. I love my coworkers and I have a very good relationship with almost everyone. There are a few who don't hold their weight and due to lack of leadership with management, nothing is or will be done. The patient are the best part of my job.
very intense & organizational skills a must
Verifying patient insurance coverage, contacting insurance companies about delinquent payment, contacting patient about their past due account. I learned the ins and outs of working with insurance companies. The management gave fair directive, and training. Co workers on a whole were easy to work with. The hardest part of the job was getting patients and insurance companies to pay in a timely fashion. The most enjoyable part of the job was when patents & insurance companies made timely payments
