Travel CNA - Psych in Pineville, LA - Facility * 4 units * 2 female (30 patients each/60 total) * 2 male (30 patients each/6 total) * Standard Ratio/Non-Unit Specific 1:7 * I understood the 1:7 as 1 RN per 7 patients with an LPN counterpart for sure during the day,  ideally at night too * The ratio isn’t applicable to CNAs depending on if they’re on a 1:1 observation or assigned another duty on the unit   Scheduling * 36/48 * Week 1: Work Sun/Mon/Thurs/Fri * Week 2: Work Tues/Wed/Sat * Every other weekend rotation * Days – A/B crew * Nights – C/D crew * Crews work opposite of each other & they will be assigned crew/rotation by nursing manager prior to completion of orientation * Call in procedure will be handled/discussed in orientation on-site    Orientation * 4 days in classroom (Tuesday – Friday) * 1 buddy shift following the classroom orientation that Saturday or Sunday * Buddy shift will be a 12 hour shift on their assigned shift * CPI training provided in house * Will hold monthly orientation   Uniform/Dress Code * Navy Blue scrubs * Very strict about nails, hair, etc for safety reasons in addition to standard infection control guidelines * Currently wearing KN95s when on the unit and procedural/surgery masks in all other areas Credentialing * May hold CNA license in any state or have applicable experience as MHT if no license * Vaccinations –  * Hep B * MMR * Varicella * Tdap * COVID * Flu * Federal background check form  * DL * SSN Card * DS * PPD * AHA BLS ****Hard requirement * Other required forms/attestations * FP check not required unless requested by HR (these will be a one off that Director of Nursing will notify us of if required)   Charting System * All paper charting   Other Details * 25% of patient population consists of 1:1 * Many patients are high suicide risk
