Duties and Responsibilities: * Receives and provides adequate reports on all patients. * Assesses, plans and implements client care. * Receives and transcribes doctor’s orders. * Assists with physical examinations, makes round of assigned clients following guidelines of institution. * Wound care , including Stasic Ulcers. * Administering oxygen, changing dressings. * Inserts and irrigates urinary catheters. * Administers and document Medications given PO, IM and Intravenously. * Discontinues or hangs additional intravenous bottles and piggybacks. * Administers and draws blood. * Cares for Endotracheal, tracheostomy and suctioning. * Obtains laboratory specimens. * Administers CPR and other emergency procedures as necessary. * Care for patients who need close monitoring and frequent assessment, but aren`t unstable enough to need ICU care. * Perform EKG and interpret. * Proficient in care of patient on ventilator. * Administer medication through an intravenous line that may need to be adjusted or titrated. Education and Experience Requirements: * RN /LPN license in good standing. * Must have one year of experience in LTAC or ICU/Acute Care. * Graduate of accredited Nursing School. * Must have current AHA BLS and AHA ACLS.
