I am on assignment and will be reaching my 1 year mark. I received another offer from a hospital 25 miles away from this one. Both hospitals are about 70/80 miles away from my home. Am I able to continue to accept tax free stipends at this new location or is it not far enough from my current assignment that will last 360 days?

I am starting to research travel nursing as a possibility to travel and see the US. I have 30+ years of perioperative experience but have not worked in 18 months as I had several family members ill. Should I obtain a job locally for 1-2 years then review travel nursing again? or is there a company which will review the experience prior to the time away which I have? Thank you

I did a little travel nursing in CA 2005 - 2006. My most recent job was with assisted living residents and memory impaired. I worked for VNA some time ago, when they just started to use computer to document visit. Would I need to obtain a local position in VNA/Hospice to refresh my skills before being considered for a travel position?

I have been an RN for about a year and a half. My experience is 6 months worth of ICU/Med Surge/Tele and about 8 months Hospice/Home Health. Prior to that I worked as an LPN working geriatrics, peds and corrections. I am really interested in travel nursing. Based on my experience can I realistically pursue travel nursing at this time?
I have been a nurse for a few years now. I have focused on geriatrics. I want to expand my nursing experience. I want to start in Med/Surg. How hard is it to dig yourself out of the geriatric field?
I was a nurse for only 2 years, then had a really bad accident and had to step down. After 4 years of surgeries and physical rehab, I am cleared to go back to work. My only experience is in the psychiatric field plus first aid work I did during the 4 years I wasn't able to work. How realistic is it to find a nursing job now that I'm ready?
Hi, I have been an RN for around 25 years. Specialized in ER/CCU/PCU for most of my career but have also done endoscopy a little med/surg and office based nursing etc. I started and finished PA school about 5 years ago. I have not worked as a hospital based nurse in many years but still have a current RN license. I have been doing locums PA assignments for the past year. I would like to find a temporary nursing assignment just to keep my skills intact (and for fun) to be honest. Obviously I know that I make a lot more money as a PA but at this point I would like to do a temporary nursing position. Even though its been awhile I am a strong willed person with strong clinical skills. Any chances you would be willing to work with someone like me?

Why is there no better way to streamline tests and modules for facilities? Every time I go to a new facility every few months they require multiple tests and modules that more times than not are either extremely similar if not identical. And many times it isn't even relevant for my job description. This is not only a waste of my time but the facilities resources as well.
I was a travel RN for years but was not working due to surgery and recovery from. Can I get my job back now that I am ready?
