I have always found the more experience the better if you want to be in a popular spot. 2 years exp. is the best in a given speciality. One may have to take the first assignment in a location thats not one's first choice but can be a resume builder!

I have been an RN for approx 14 years but the general qualifications have been from 1-3 years of experience in any particular specialty and obviously more is better but not necessary but some assignment areas prefer previous travel experience as well
