October 21, 2014 Nursing CareerVictory Memorial Hospital was the first hospital I worked at after graduating CLC. My passion for Nursing and patient care was felt.I had a great mentor and my passion for trauma blossomed. I passed my ACLS and CPR tests and Studied for TNS- Trauma Nurse Specialist and passed this 4 hour test after the first try Then I took and passed MY C.E.N. Took and passed PALS, I loved my supervisors for their knowledge and respect. My co-workers were awesome & when we weren't at work, we got together and had a party. The hardest part of this Job was leaving. I wanted to start working on my Bachelors degree and knew it was too busy at Victory and I left and got another job. The most enjoyable part of this job were the patients,co-workers, and the Doctors. |
October 13, 2014 Multicultural fast paced Medical Surgical UnitA typical day was very busy. I learned to multi-task and yet provide safe effective skilled nursing to patients. The co-workers were great at assisting when asked and helped to maintain safety at all times. The hardest part of the job was working with so many different cultures in Brooklyn and different languages. Management was great and I advanced quickly. |
November 10, 2013 Excellent place to workBeing an EMT is one of the most exciting jobs. I worked with so many people on many different types of calls and all of us worked as a team. EMT's, Firemen, Policemen, Paramedics all have to depend on one another to take care of the patient quickly and safely. Teamwork is very important in any profession. The hardest part of the job was preparing myself for the unknown. The most enjoyable part of the job really was being there for anyone who need my help |
