Would be a better place to work with adequate staffing for safer work environment

A typical day at Warren State Hospital would require sharp medical and psychiatric assessment skills. I begin my day getting a nursing shift report, then making out an assignment sheet for staff to follow for duties planned for the day. I set up charts for psychiatrist and medical doctors to review. I help staff with ADLs for patients twice during shift. I Interact with nursing supervisor when on unit, updating on patient status changes. I have learned to be more patient and tolerant to patient behaviors and medical needs. I work well as a team player and leader. The hardest part of my job is staffing cuts that have affected patient care. The most enjoyable part of my job is the team of coworkers that I work with. Everyone works well together to provide the best care to our patients possible.
