Don't come to this ER if you like your license!

I took a 13 week contract here and have been regretting it since my very first day. Management staff is NASTY. I never even met the ED director & Assistant manager Ashley has no understanding of what professionalism means. In thirteen weeks I never got a lunch break and found myself staffed with a dangerous number of patients (think 1:6 with level 1-2 traumas, behavioral health holds and ICU holds) with one tech per pod if we got lucky. Charge RNs are lazy with the exception of a few & if you call for help they'll empty your rooms & fill them with patients who need complete work-ups. There are always at least two triage RNs and a Triage Charge RN and yet patients will sit in the waiting room with standing orders for HOURS with nothing done. There is no support from management and no way to get assistance when you are drowning. There was not a single day in 13 weeks where I did not find unlabeled blood, urine or suction canisters that were filled with another patient's bodily fluids because environmental staff does not handle ANY bodily fluids. Somehow, a RN with 4-6 patients is supposed to make sure rooms are clean as well -_-. I would not recommend this facility to my worst enemy and am hoping that my travel agency stops sending RNs here; it is dangerous.
