Happy environment with patients that appreciate everyday of life

Typical day at Kirkland Cancer Center review schedule for patients I'm responsible for and review their specific orders. Access lifeport or start IV. draw labs if ordered. review labs to be sure patient ok for chemotherapy treatment, Administer chemotherapy, monoclonal antibody products, blood products and give subcutaneous injections per hospital policy. Keep patients comfortable and educated on treatment they are receiving. Make sure they have scheduled return visit for labs, MD or treatment. The environment is fast paced. Nurses must be knowledgeable of drugs and side effects. We have a happy environment for our patients and treat them as if they were family. The hardest part of my job is when a patient passes, our patients are very precious to our entire department. All of my co-workers are kind, loving individuals.

I learned alot

I loved working at the hospital, i learned so much. I applied heart monitors on patients, and took their vitals signs. the most enjoyable part of my job was meeting new people.
