Great work environment

A typical day at work would include visiting patients rooms and taking their breakfast and lunch orders, delivering their meals and assisting them with their food tray setup. Also, after they eat I would collect their trays and record their food and drink intake. What I have learned from this job is time management and also patience. My managers for this job worked exceptionally well with their employees to ensure that we understood our positions and what was expected from us.

Largely enjoyable place to work-typical health care atmosphere

I have worked there in various capacities since graduating with my degree. I have seen many changes-both good and bad. I have continued to work there to supplement my school job income while keeping my skills current

Friendly atmouphere

This is a great place to learn and grow as a nurse. The co-workers are friendly and willing to help. The company offers paid learning courses and CE credits for nursing staff.

SOMC is a great company to work for overall.

My job duties are many. I interact with all physicians and other medical staff, as well as other areas of the hospital. Case managememt, Performance improvement, Risk managemint, Quality control, all areas depend and rely on what I see in the chart and deem as a codable diagnosis. My job is very challenging and exciting at the same time. I love what I do and I have learned a lot and wish to continue to learn and grow. I am grateful for all I have learned at the facility and I have been able to expand my nursing knowledge to a whole new area.

Great place to work where the employees matter as well as the patients.

Truly is a great place to work and to feel appreciated. They are a company that cares how their employees feel and try their hardest to accommodate what the needs of the employees are. They are a Magnet hospital and it shows.
