My time at GMH has been amazing. I have loved the people and the great experience that they have provided. My co-workers are exceptional.

I enjoy the fast pace and variety of nursing experience that I encounter each and every shift at GMH. You are constantly being challenged and using all of your nursing knowledge and skills. The phrase,Team Players, has taken on a new meaning for me. During the spring through the fall, when the tourists converge with a wide variety of emergent and not so emergent needs, my nursing skills and knowledge have truly been put to the test. The people I have met and the experiences have been remarkable.I feel that I have benefited tremendously from the support and encouragement of all the GMH family. Management is very supportive and take an active part in daily activities. They are interactive with staff and have an open door policy. I can't say enough about my coworkers they are extraordinary in every way. We laugh and enjoy each others company as well as work hard together as a team. They are unique! The hardest part of the job, for me, is being expected to float to Long Term Care, an area of Nursing, I am not comfortable with and feel that it is not for me at this time. The commute for meetings and in-services can also be challenging. The most enjoyable part of my job is being able to share my knowledge and skills with co-workers and students and learning from each of them. I am a work in progress and I have learned so much each and every day from such caring, loving and exceptional peers.
