Nice place to work

Health care is a competitive market and staying abreast of your competitors is number one. The physicians are innovative and the care given to patients are second to none.

A few great doctors and co-workers. Management issues

There is no room for autonomy or suggestions by employees. Some managers and staff are dishonest regarding your work. Some doctors are dishonest regarding you work. The politics are extremely difficult. Some RN's are overloaded with all the work and others sit around and do nothing. There is no routine education on the units and management to go for help. Multiple employees leave due these problems. Law suits.

Excellent job while working nights.

I enjoyed working at EL Camino on nights in the ICU/CCU for over a year, but I did not like the Days - Break RN position I returned to after I traveled home to NC for 6 months. I didn't like working days, and I felt tired because I couldn't sleep well at night. I was used to nights. Before I left, I was on the list for balloon pump training. When I came back, I was no longer on the list for balloon pump training, and no night positions were available.

Cutting from all edges, from clinical outcomes to patient and employee satisfaction ratings. Excellence starts from a smile within.

There was never a day I wasn't completely awed the team at El Camino Hospital.
