Not a very good place to work is my personal opinion.

This job was in my opinion a who you are and who you know job. I quickly adapted to the medication scanning system and gave medication and injections, wound care and whatever else might be needed to patients. At times, there would be no one available to answer questions I might have. Always a shortage of nurses and needed information. Training on this job was poorly done by co-workers and you had to pick up what you could as fast as you could. This could have been a very fulfilling job with different management. The most enjoyable part of this job was interacting with patients and helping them with all issues no matter how large or small.

Working at the State hospital was a good experience and taught me a great deal about people, and how everyones needs are different. Most of the people I worked with were awesome people, including the management. It appeared that everyone had a good reason, if you will, to be coming to work. The hardest thing about this job was knowing that the help I was able to give to the patients was very limited. The best part were the days that I felt like I made a difference that day in someones life.

Great company to work for! Teamwork was awesome! If I still lives in the area I would still be working at the state hospital!
