Hi my name is Meagan and I am a nurse recruiter for MAS medical staffing. I funded my way through college working various LNA jobs in hospitals as well as Telemetry tech and Phlebotomist.

I obtained my Bachelor of Science degree in 2013 from New England College. I have a compassion for the medical field as well as business and understand it very well. I know what it's like to work in a hospital and would love to help nurses find great contract positions in their desired locations. I hope I can help you soon!

Please feel free to contact me at 1 800 657 6517 X 110 or by email at

I was originally with a different recruiter who I really liked. Then I got assigned Meagan. I was a little apprehensive at first, because I had built a relationship with my previous recruiter, but Meagan made the transition easy! She is thoughtful, kind, and really cares about you as an individual and your personal needs. This is my second assignment with MAS and I would definitely recommend MAS and Meagan!

I find Meagan very proactive and an advocate to find me the best assignments, AND acclimate into my new setting. Highly recommend work with her.

I was a nurse for only 2 years, then had a really bad accident and had to step down. After 4 years of surgeries and physical rehab, I am cleared to go back to work. My only experience is in the psychiatric field plus first aid work I did during the 4 years I wasn't able to work. How realistic is it to find a nursing job now that I'm ready?
Hey Natalie! Thanks for your question. Unfortunately psych positions are very picky for travel positions. Your best bet would be to try to get a perm position and after 6 months -1 year it would be a lot easier to obtain a contract or travel position. I hope this helps! Feel free to reach out with any other questions
Why is there no better way to streamline tests and modules for facilities? Every time I go to a new facility every few months they require multiple tests and modules that more times than not are either extremely similar if not identical. And many times it isn't even relevant for my job description. This is not only a waste of my time but the facilities resources as well.
I wish I had a better answer for you, but every hospital requires their own testing and every agency has standard testing (usually through Prophecy) that you need to complete to be compliant.
Do you have travel jobs for Home health or hospice nurses?
Yes, we have plenty of home health travel positions and a few hospice as well
What is the allowed distance to travel from your home to be considered a travel position?
In order to get stipends (tax free) you have to travel greater than 50 miles from your permanent address... however we do local contracts as well.. but it would be on a straight taxable rate.
I was a travel RN for years but was not working due to surgery and recovery from. Can I get my job back now that I am ready?
Cheryl, if you are open to different states I can definitely help you get a job!
