Talent Acquisition Manager, came to atlas with a diverse and extensive sales and insurance background. He enjoys helping his nurses pursue their dreams and meet their goals! Before settling in Nebraska, Chris grew up in the wine country of Napa, California where he also received his Bachelors in Psychology from Sonoma State University. Chris is happily married, a father and has a toy poodle named “studsy”. He has an extensive list of hobbies, most include mountains and lakes which one can’t find in Nebraska. He likes surfing, snowboarding, wakeboarding, fishing and hunting which means he also enjoys traveling (to fulfill said hobbies). One day, Chris hopes to surf in Nicaragua, Backpack through Europe and Heli Ski in BC…one might say he has a bit of the travel bug himself!

Huge thanks to Chris Madrigal for making my travel nursing experience an easy and fulfilling one. Just like nurses, Chris is in the business of customer service, and that's exactly what he delivers. He never fails to stride one step further past my expectations. I highly recommend him for his honesty and his dedication to making your career everything you want it to be!

Before starting this gypsy life I spoke with multiple travel nurses and asked them what they liked and disliked about the company and recruiter they worked for. One nurse had nothing negative to say about Atlas and Chris. I spoke with multiple agencies and recruiters. Of all of them, Chris was honest and upfront. Chris has continued those characteristics. I am one that does not like "misinformation" (aka-lying).  If he does not know the answer, he will tell you then investigate to get the answer.  He is respectful of each nurses' personality. Chris has your best interest at heart!
Having Atlas and Chris at my side for this adventure is a blessing!

Chris has been wonderful! He is very easy to talk to and work with. When I have questions or concerns he works quickly to make sure I am taken care of. He is very knowledgeable in regard to travel nursing yet quite open to new ideas or thoughts that I have brought him. Chris always makes me feel like he is available and ready to conquer another assignment and all it entails. I look forward to another assignment working with Chris!

Chris has always been super responsive to any needs, seen or unforeseen. He continued to check in while I was on assignment with a different company, not hounding me to work with him, but genuinely seeking to know how I was doing and to see if he could be of assistance. It has been a pleasure working with him thus far and I look forward to working with him in the future.

What is the allowed distance to travel from your home to be considered a travel position?
Typically, the distance is 55 miles; however, some facilities will have their own travel restrictions and may expand that radius to 200+ miles away. Your recruiter can clarify once he/she knows where you are interested in taking a travel contract, Take care!
How long does it take to get licensed in other states? Is it difficult?
Hello Cindy, timframes vary by state/jurisdiction. Some are walk thru states(same day) some can take weeks (2-6) another consideration is if you are licensed in a compact state... over 20 states reciprocate so you don't need to get a "new" license. I hope this helps. Take care !
