Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | Night Shift (6:30 PM – 6:30 AM) | 13-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care during the antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases of obstetrical care to Labor and Delivery patients
• Utilize the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and facility policy and procedures
• Demonstrate critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in anticipating and planning for the safe delivery of patient care
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education
• Delegate patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of available staff
• Provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care

Required Qualifications

• Current Texas RN license or valid compact state RN license
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Local candidates will not be considered for this travel assignment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a critical access or rural hospital setting
• Strong ability to function independently and adapt quickly to new clinical environments
