Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Nights (19:00–07:00) | 36 or 48 Guaranteed Hours Per Week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to perform assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care for cardiac and medical-surgical patients across all age groups
• Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort
• Demonstrate competence in drug titration and operation of telemetry monitoring equipment
• Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and maintain professional accountability
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information in accordance with applicable standards
• Float on a rotational basis as required by unit needs

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license; must meet eligibility criteria for licensure in the state of Missouri or hold an active Missouri RN license
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient Cardiac Telemetry experience
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required prior to start date
• Demonstrated competence in drug titration
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption required November 1 through April 1

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Additional cardiac nursing experience beyond the minimum requirement
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR and Alaris infusion pumps
