About the Position

Job Title: Labor and Delivery RN Profession: RN Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 12 Hour PM-AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum Years of Experience Required License: Active RN License Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP (as applicable) Must-Have: ASAP Starts Only Day/Night Rotation Description: Labor and Delivery RN needed for a birthing pavilion. The facility performs approximately 1300 deliveries a year. There are 21 patient rooms, a two-bed triage room, and two operating rooms. Nurse-patient ratios will follow AWHONN staffing guidelines as closely as possible. Ratios include 1:1 for Pitocin and active labors/intermittent monitoring. 1:2 for cervical ripening and a 1:1 ratio with Pitocin. 1:2 for high-risk medication including Magnesium Sulfate and Insulin drips. 1:3 for Antepartum and Postpartum couplets.
