Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 43-bed Medical Telemetry and Intermediate Care (IMC) unit serving a diverse patient population including respiratory, sepsis, DKA, altered mental status, failure to thrive, and acute-on-chronic medical conditions
• Monitor, read, and interpret telemetry strips for assigned patients throughout the shift
• Operate and manage specialized equipment including ventilators, BiPAP, CPAP, epidural pumps, IV pumps, PCA pumps, VAC dressings, and specialty beds
• Perform tracheostomy care and maintenance as required by patient acuity
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic EMR
• Float to other IMC-level or medical/surgical units of similar care level based on unit need and demonstrated skill set

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical/Surgical Telemetry or Intermediate Care nursing
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Demonstrated experience with tracheostomy care and telemetry strip interpretation
• Ventilator experience required for IMC-level patient assignments
• Proficiency with Epic EMR

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for respiratory failure, sepsis, and DKA patient populations
• Prior travel nursing experience in a high-acuity medical/surgical or IMC setting
• Strong teamwork, flexibility, and patient-centered communication skills
