Travel RN – Oncology

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Rotating Weekends | No On-Call

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on an inpatient Oncology unit with an estimated patient ratio of 1:3–4, flexing to 1:5
• Administer and monitor IV therapies including blood and electrolyte replacement using Baxter infusion pumps
• Maintain strict intake and output monitoring and adhere to neutropenic precaution protocols
• Perform and document routine care including CHG baths and linen changes every 24 hours, dressing changes every 7 days, and line and cap changes every 96 hours
• Document all patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
• Float to Hematology/Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplant units as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of Oncology nursing experience
• Proficiency with Meditech EMR
• Experience with Baxter infusion pumps

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Hematology/Oncology (HemOnc) background
• Chemotherapy certification
• Experience with Bone Marrow Transplant patient populations
