About the Position
Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1+ years License: Current RN License in Missouri Certifications: BLS from AHA only, NIHSS (must obtain prior to start) Must-Have Skills/Experience: 1 year Telemetry experience in an inpatient setting. Experience and competence in drug titration. Description: Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by direct care givers. Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in accordance with the organization's mission, values, and service standards. Performs direct patient care activities for all age groups, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort. Functions within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with guidelines of nursing practice. Meets unit-specific physical demands, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting patients with assistance. May be required to work differing schedules, shifts, and days of the week according to patient care requirements. High risk exposure to blood and body fluids. Physical demands include pushing, pulling, gripping, pinching, kneeling, crouching, and crawling minimally. Utilizes the nursing process to provide care for patients post-trauma, surgical interventions, and medical comorbidities. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates patient care with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs responsibilities in a manner consistent with the organization's mission, values, and service standards.
