About the Position

Job Title: RN Oncology Profession: Nursing Specialty: Oncology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 AM - 07:30 PM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum Years of Experience Required License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: BLS Certification Description: Accountable for interpreting the plan of medical care. Responsible for the assessment of patients' clinical decision-making regarding nursing care. Ensures that nursing care is provided in a safe and competent manner. Provides individualized nursing care to patients. Evaluates nursing care for groups of patients. This position requires direct patient care. Essential Functions: Maintains accurate, detailed reports and records. Administers medications to patients and monitors them for reactions or side effects. Records patients' medical information and vital signs. Monitors, records, and reports symptoms or changes in patients' conditions. Consults and coordinates with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans. Modifies patient treatment plans as indicated by patients' responses and conditions. Unit Description: Focuses on oncology patients requiring chemotherapy and diagnosis management.
