About the Position
Job Title: ICU RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 18:45 - 07:15 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 years of ICU experience License: Active RN License Certifications: - ACLS - BLS Must-Have: - ICU experience - Experience with neurology patients, post thrombectomy, TPA patients, and post neurosurgery patients Description: The position involves working in a 12-bed intensive care unit. The patient ratio is 1:2. There is unit staffing support including unit secretaries and tech availability. Key equipment used includes Baxter pumps. The documentation system is Cerner. Scheduling is self-scheduled based on unit needs, with a requirement of 6 weekend shifts per period. Travelers float first to other ICUs or to step-down units. Advanced skills in caring for neurology patients are preferred. Procedures performed include CRRT, bedside EVDs, and A-line monitoring. The required dress code consists of navy blue uniforms. Unit-specific policies and guidelines will be provided. Prospective candidates should be aware of the unit's commitment to excellence.
