About the Position

Job Title: Neuro ICU Travel Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Neuro ICU Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years of Neuro ICU Experience License: Valid compact or state license required Certifications: BCLS, ACLS, NIHSS (AHA Certifications only) Must-Have: Experience with IV start, telemetry, ventilators, and intracranial pressure monitoring Description: This position requires a Neuro ICU Travel Nurse to work weekend night shifts. Weekend shifts consist of Friday and Saturday nights. Please note that Sunday is not considered a weekend shift. Block scheduling is not guaranteed. Paired scheduling with another traveler cannot be accommodated. Rotation occurs every 4 weeks based on unit needs. The patient ratio is estimated to be 1:1 or 1:2. Float requirements include moving within units of equivalent or lower acuity. Travel experience is required. Candidates must have experience in managing a variety of patient diagnoses including strokes, seizures, and neuromuscular diseases. The role involves bedside procedures and the use of specialized equipment for invasive neuromonitoring. Strong skills in critical care nursing are essential for the management of ventilated patients and neuro intensive care unit procedures. Interdisciplinary support services are available within the unit. All candidates must be prepared to complete necessary credentialing promptly.
