Travel RN – Labor & Delivery (Nights)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Three 12-Hour Shifts per Week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to laboring patients within a 12-bed Labor & Delivery unit at a 1:2 patient ratio
• Care for newborns immediately following vaginal and cesarean section deliveries
• Circulate and recover patients undergoing cesarean sections
• Assist with and support procedures including vaginal deliveries, C-sections, D&C, cerclage, epidural anesthesia, and tub labor
• Document patient care accurately using CPN and Meditach electronic documentation systems
• Fulfill scheduling requirements including 3 weekend shifts and 1 call shift per scheduling period; travelers float first per unit policy

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
• AWHONN Intermediate (not Advanced) or CEFM certification required
• Proficiency in care of the laboring patient, newborn care immediately post-delivery, and circulating/recovering C-section patients

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Familiarity with CPN and Meditach documentation systems
• Experience working in a high-volume Labor & Delivery setting with a collaborative multidisciplinary team including unit secretaries and OR techs
• Comfort with shared decision-making models in patient care
