General Information
Tell us about the unit(s):
•
Number of Beds – 24 licensed spots
•
Day Shift – 1 charge with an assignment, No nursing aids utilized. Staffing depends on acuity.
•
Night Shift – same as above
•
Patient Ratios – 1:1-4:1
•
Type of equipment – Level 3, oscillators, vents, bubble CPAP, central lines, 23 weeders, ABG machine, pump feeds, telemedicine
Typical hiring profile
Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters)
Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
•
Minimum 1-year current acute care hospital NICU RN experience
•
Level III or Level IV NICU experience
Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.
•
Prior Meditech experience
List typical procedures performed on unit(s):
•
Circs, Pneumo taps, intubations, chest tubes (assist with level 3 procedures), no surgeries done at Rose NICU, No Nitric or no head/body cooling.
•
PIV's, medication administration, giving blood, handoffs for communications. Blood draws from arterial, heel and venous.
•
Transitions are observed in NICU, delivery experience as NICU attends all high risk deliveries.
