Key Responsibilities of the RN - Telemetry
•
Provide post cardiac procedural care, including ablations, cardiac catheterizations, and PACemaker placements
•
Interpret EKGs and telemetry strips accurately
•
Administer and titrate IV medications such as insulin, Cardizem, Cardene, and Amiodarone
•
Perform procedures including IV insertions, NGT placement, chest tube maintenance, temporary Pacemakers, and Foley insertions
Requirements of the RN - Telemetry
•
Cardiac Telemetry or PCU/ICU experience
•
ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications
