Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse – Tennessee

Schedule: Self-scheduling available (within balanced staffing needs). Three weekend shifts per 4-week schedule. Block scheduling accommodated for night shift. Schedule finalized 2 weeks in advance with advance request options.
Highlights:

29-bed Progressive Care Unit with 4:1 patient ratio supporting cardiac, medical, and surgical complex patients
•
Heavy cardiac patient population including post-operative CV surgery patients, MI, heart failure, arrhythmias, and post cardiac catheterization
•
Advanced technology environment with iMobile devices, Philips telemetry and monitors, Alaris pumps, MobiLab specimen collection, and Meditech documentation
•
Comprehensive drip management including Dopamine, Dobutrex, Nitro, Heparin, Cardizem, Lidocaine, Milrinone, Amiodarone, Cardene, Labetalol, Insulin, and Precedex titration
•
Strong team-oriented culture with experienced RNs on both shifts, including ICU-experienced staff available as resources
•
48-hour weekly guarantee available
Requirements:
•
Active Tennessee RN license or compact state license
•
BLS and ACLS certifications required
•
Progressive Care Unit and/or critical care experience strongly preferred
•
Cardiac/telemetry experience required
•
Advanced skills: IV insertion, chest tube management, DHT insertion/management, tracheostomy care, central line management, EKG interpretation, Foley management, early mobility protocols
•
Experience with complex patient populations including sepsis, stroke, DKA, respiratory failure, GI bleed, post-thoracic surgery, and post-neurosurgery patients
