Job Opportunity – Medical ICU Registered Nurse – Ohio

Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts (days/nights or nights only available). Shift assignments are reviewed every 4-week scheduling period based on departmental needs. Weekend coverage varies based on unit needs.

24-bed Medical ICU specializing in hemodynamically compromised adult and geriatric patients

Complex case mix including oncologic emergencies, ARDS, COPD, sepsis, GI bleeds, pulmonary hypertension, and autoimmune disorders

Advanced treatments including mechanical ventilation, CRRT, pulmonary artery catheter placement, chemotherapy administration, and plasmapheresis
•
Epic EMR charting system required
•
72-hour orientation provided; first-time travelers welcome

Requirements
•
Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
•
Minimum 2 years of recent acute care ICU experience (must be current and consistent within the last 12 months)
•
Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale
•
Epic charting system experience required
•
Strong clinical skills in ventilator management, IV starts, arterial line management, titrating vasoactive and cardiac drips, central line care, and managing multi-system organ dysfunction
•
Experience with BiPAP/CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, blood product administration, and continuous IV sedation
•
Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
•
2 professional references required (at least one from a manager/director or formal supervisor)

Additional Information
Compliance Requirements: Strict compliance deadline of Tuesday prior to start date. Ohio fingerprinting must be completed immediately upon contract signing. Candidates must be responsive and cooperative with credentialing to avoid delays.
